JUNE 21: LIMA - CUSCO - SACRED VALLEY - OLLANTAYMBO - AGUAS CALIENTES

Around 5AM pick-up from hotel in Lima and private transfer to airport and flight to the heart of the Incas Empire, the flight takes one hour. Welcoming reception in the airport of Cusco by our official tour guide, then one hour of transfer to Urubamba and Ollantaytambo (2700m) were you will receive complete guided tour of this wonderful sacred valley of the Incas, also we visit the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo, to visit this Inca remain we climb the stony stairs to get the complex located on the slopes of the mountains. After visit Ollantaytambo site we have lunch at this charm town surrounded by the river and impressive snow-capped. At 5pm we aboard our train to Aguas Calientes, journey take 2 hours in comfortable class through rocky mountain and cloud forest along the Urubamba River. Stay in a hotel of Aguas Calientes town (2100m), if the time permitting you can visit the thermal pools (optional) located next of the hotel (L).

JUNE 22: AGUAS CALIENTES - MACHU PICCHU GUIDED TOUR – OLLANTAYTAMBO (Sacred Valley Of The Incas)

At 5AM breakfast and half hour later aboard the first tourist bus to drop us to Machu Picchu main door, and to be the first visitors Inside Machu Picchu archaeological site you will have complete guided tour of this spectacular and mystical place. The guided tour include walk through the different section such as urban, agriculture, and the religions zone was used by the Inca Culture. According with the time and your feeling you can coordinating with the tour guide climb to Huayna Picchu (Young Mountain) this climbing take around 1 hour to get the summit from where you can have the best view for photos of all Machu Picchu and of deep green canyon surrounding the sacred Inca City. At according time descend to Machu Picchu and then free time to explorer on your own. At mentioned time aboard a tourist bus to descend to Aguas Calientes town. Lunch and then we travel by train to Ollantaytambo/Urubamba and stay in a nice hotel at this amazing valley (sacred valley of the Incas) (B - L).

JUNE 23: SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS - CUSCO

Today you will wake up at 7AM and after breakfast you will meet the tour guide and private van to introduce you to the second part of sacred valley of the Incas, as known the richest valley in Peru.
You will lead to typical towns on the left bank of Vilcanota River, pintoresque town as Jucay, Calca, and Pisac. This last town is very recognized because every day shows to the visitors an Andean market and the impressive agriculture terraces located on the slopes of the mountain.
The tour this takes around 5 hours and then transfer to the hotel in Cusco. Free afternoon for personal activities or optional guided tour around Cusco (B).

JUNE 24: THE FESTIVAL OF THE SUN (“La Fiesta Del Dios Sol”)

This festival is known as “La Fiesta Del Sol” (The Sun Festival). The original name of this celebration is in Quechua ancient language “Inti Raymi”.
The tour start with a private pick up from your hotel, walking tour around the city and then you will drop to Saqsayhuaman fortress were the you will see the real activity of the Inca festival.
Since 1944 a theatrical representation of the Inti Raymi has been taking place at Saqsayhuaman on June 24 of each year attracting thousands of tourist and local visitors.
The tour takes all day and includes entrance and reserved place with available seat next of the main theater where you will appreciate all the sacred activities, and sacrifice the dancer and priest do in honor to the sun god.
Late afternoon we will drop you to hotel and end of Inti Raymi festivities (B).

JUNE 25: WELCOME TO CUSCO – GUIDED WALKING TOUR

At 8AM is the beginning of the guided tour includes to the main square, the cathedral, the Koricancha temple (sun temple), and typical Inca fortress on down town.
Continue with this tour we driver out Cusco where are located four Inca ruins as known as Saqsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomacahy.
This tour takes around 5 hours with private guide and tour van.
Around 2PM will be the transfer from hotel to airport and aboard the plane to drop you to Lima and end of this unforgettable Andean experience (B).

The best time to visit Cusco is between April and November, is the season without rain and sunny days. PERU ADVENTURE TOURS recommend to visit Cusco region just after the raining season (April), is better for pictures and less tourism.
