This tour was created after received many requesting from our customers, who wants to travel directly from Cusco to the Colca Canyon and end of 4x4 expedition is in Arequipa.
During this tour the 4WD drop us by the dirt road, green valley, and Andean plateau, remote Andean villages, passing between blue lagoons and seeing lot of flora and fauna on the Altiplano of Peru.
All this tour is possible be done only with our experienced tour guides and drivers, who know very well every corner of this region between Cusco and Arequipa, the tour package include also lodging in the Colca canyon (Chivay or Yanque), and other needs to visit the wonderful Colca Valley.

The Tour from Cusco to the Colca Canyon and Arequipa can be done only on the dry season, the rain begins on December and ends on April.

ITINERARY 4x4 TOUR FROM CUSCO COLCA CANYON AND AREQUIPA

DAY 1: CUSCO - PUMACANCHIS LAGOON - ACOPIA LAGOON - LANGUI LAGOON - ESPINAR - SIBAYO - CHIVAY

The tour begins from your hotel at 6AM, the tour guide, the driver and our 4x4 machine will be there waiting for you ready to begin this amazing Andean trip.
The travel goes through the southern of Cusco, we will pass Saylla, Quispicanchis, Huacarpay, Cusipata is the last small town located on the southern of Cusco, from there we will take unpaved road up to Pumacanchis Lagoon, where visit unrecognized circuit of 4 Lagoons (Circuito Turistico Cuatro Lagunas) - We drive our 4x4 trucks on the shores of each lagoon to see the some Andean birds, Andean farmers and their daily activities.
The lagoons as known as Pumacanchi, Acopia, Yanaoca and finally arrive to Langui lagoon (4000M), this last lagoon is the biggest on this circuit and from there we driver on the Andean plateaun on Cusco region.
After 5 hours arrive to the Andean city as known as Espinar (4000M) - Lunch here in a local restaurant and them continue off-road drive on the Andean plateau up to another pass as known as paso Condoroma (4800M) - From the pass you will get spectacular view of the mountain range between Cusco and Arequipa and the origin of Colca River - Donwhill drive on bunpy road to find the natural formation of rock as known as "Los Castillos Del Colca" - Walk around for pcitures of the rock formations and then we arrive to Callalli town to see one of the first colonial church on the upper zone of the Colca canyon.
The next town to pass will be Sibayo and from there we drive on paved nice road on the right bank of Colca River seeing some typical villages and lot pre-Inca´s terraces along the river.
Around 5PM arrive to Chivay town (3650M) and then visit the thermal bath of La Calera (45°C) - 2 hours as maximum time to relax and enjoy the hot spring and then drive to hotel and finally diner and end the activities for this day (L - D)

DAY 2: CHIVAY TOWN - COLCA CANYON - CONDOR CROSS VIEWPOINT - AREQUIPA

At 6AM is the breakfast and travel 2 hours on our transportation to the famous Condor Cross at this place is possible to appreciate the fly of Condors or sometimes is possible to see them seating on big rocks, two hours of hiking spending looking this amazing and biggest flying bird in the world, also there are many villages at the deep part of this spectacular Canyon.
At 10AM we drive back to Chivay, stopping on the way back getting nice views of the river and Colca valley, colony churches, handicraft markets, green villages on the both banks of the canyon and local's people working the ancient's pre Incas terraces.
Around 12PM arrive to Chivay to have lunch included and then free time for personal activities as visit the local handicraft market, etc.
At mentioned time transfer from the Colca valley (Chivay) to Arequipa, the tour ends in your hotel around 4PM to 6PM.
