For all mountain biking lovers, Peru has one of the largest networks of Inca remains and following the innumerable trails that connect with the most amazing sites in the Cusco, Puno, Nasca, Lima, Arequipa, Paracas, passing through remote villages out of the reach of motorised vehicles, and having the chance to get know local Andean communities and learn their amazing life style. Mountain Biking is a relatively new sport in Peru, but new routes are rapidly being opened up, many of which offer excellent opportunities to ride.
For the more adventurous people, we arrange long biking trips. We are best undertaken and an experienced tour operator providing professional guides and bicycle equipment as well as the necessary supporting vehicle.
We have cycle trips from 1 up to more days designed to get the most out of your holiday. Beginning in the high Andes and descending into the Amazon jungle, we cycle from altitudes of 5000m to 600m. Biking on the single tracks, dirt roads, humid lands, frigid and warm climates, camping or spending in the local's family houses.
TOUR ITINERARY OF BIKING AROUND LAKE TITICACA
At 8AM pick you up from your hotel and travel for 30min to southwest till Chucuito (3827M) – There you will receive safety talking about the bikes, the route and terrain to cycle next of the Lake Titicaca.
The route includes many small Andean villages located next of the lake – Lot agriculture field of Quinua, beans, potatoes and other crows cultivated by locals –The route goes through peninsula of Charcas giving you one the best and undiscovered views of the lake - Our route is relatively difficult and some easy section simultaneously, some parts of the route includes uphill and short downhill over 3700m and 3900m maximum, in all trip we will have the support of our transport, how will following surrounding the lake.
Finishing crossing the two lakes we will have a delicious lunch with many calories and continue biking towards the Southwest of the lake – The view includes amazing view of La Cordillera Real located on Bolivia territory – During the trip you can see lot of Andean birds navigating in the shores of the lake, local fauna as Llamas, Alpacas and Vicuñas.
This trip includes up to 70km to cycle between 9AM to 4PM and drop off in your hotel in Puno around 5PM - Bikers wanting to cylce less distance need to tell us to find short route.
Customers looking to do this bike tour around the highest navigate lake in the world must need to be in good shape and have good acclimatize to altitude to get better performance to enjoy the trip – Staying 2 nights in Puno before the bike tour will be great to be acclimatize.

ADVICE FOR BIKERS
To have good acclimatization, good physical conditions and good quality winter clothes. One day before all the bikers will have meeting with the mountain bike guide at our office or in the hotel, who will give a BRIEFING about this bike trip and also you can check the quality of bikes and gear will be used on this trip.
