NAZCA MIXED TOUR; CULTURAL AND ADVENTUROUS GUIDED TOUR $400 USD Per Person

Enjoy The Best Tours Of Nazca In 2 Days - 1 Night

Nasca Lines is located on the south of the city of Ica, the Pan Americana highway cuts through the desert of sand dunes to km 422, before of Nazca city. There are lines were made by removing the iron oxide coated pebbles which cover the surface of the Nazca desert. When the gravel is removed, they contrast with the light-colored earth underneath. There are several hundred simple lines and geometric patterns on the Nazca plateau, as well as over seventy curvilinear animal, insect, and human figures. The area encompassing the lines is nearly 200 square miles, and the largest figures can be nearly 900 feet long. The lines persist due to the extremely dry, windless, and constant climate of the Nazca region: the Nazca desert is one of the driest on Earth and maintains a temperature around 25°C (77°F) year round, and the lack of wind has helped keep the lines uncovered to the present day.
The Nazca Lines are gigantic geoglyphs located between Palpa and Nazca desert, there were created by the Nazca culture between 200 BC and 600 AD. There are hundreds of individual figures, ranging in complexity from simple lines to stylized hummingbirds, spiders, monkeys, and lizards. The Nazca lines cannot be recognized as coherent figures except from the air.
Since their discovery, various theories have been proposed regarding the methods and motivations behind the lines' construction.

Cesca Light Plane To Fly Over Nasca Lines

ITINERARY OF NAZCA MIXED TOUR

DAY 1: LIMA - NASCA - FLIGHT OVER THE MYSTERIOUS FIGURES AND DRAWINGS

At 6am pick up from your hotel and transfer to the bus station (Cruz Del Sur - Cruzero service) and aboard the bus at 7am. The bus service is one of the best one in all over Peru. The bus travel takes 6 hours through Pisco, Paracas bay, Ica and finally arrives to Nazca.
At 3pm transfer to the aerodrome of Maria Reiche and then aboard the light Cessna plane (flight of 35min): The Nazca lines are located in the desert, a high arid plateau that stretches between Nazca and Palpa on the Pampa (a large flat area of southern Peru). The Nazca lines are geoglyphs and geometric line clearings in the Peruvian desert. The Nazca lines are an enigma. Since their discovery, the Nazca lines have inspired fantastic explanations from ancient gods, a landing strip for returning aliens, a celestial calendar created by the ancient civilization, used for rituals probably related to astronomy, or clans who made up the population and to determine through ritual their economic functions held up by reciprocity and redistribution, or a map of underground water supplies. Flying over the area you can marvel looking at the perfect shape of Animal's, flowers, plants, objects, and anthropomorphic figures of colossal proportions made with well-defined lines.
At mentioned time return to selected hotel.

DAY 2: CERRO BLANCO SANDBOARD TOUR (2070M) - LIMA

At 5am pick up from your hotel by private transport and transfer to the base of the biggest sand dune in the world. It is located on the route to Cusco, at the beginning of the highland mountains. In ancient Quechua language Yuraq Orjo means White Mountain and in Spanish means Cerro Blanco (2070m). After one hour driving we reach the closest point to the dunes available via vehicle. From here we start climb up 3 hours, carrying our boards, energy bars, lots of sun block and enough water for drink on the way up to the top. Ancients of Nasca culture considered this a sacred place and made ornament offerings to this sand dune. The highest temperature on the day is 25 / 28 Cº between 9am to 2pm.
At 10am we arrive at the summit where it is dry, hot, windy and sandy, but offers spectacular views from this White Mountain, covering the green Nasca valley. Here we rest, snack and are given Sandboarding instructions. You can practice on the small dune trying several techniques of the board until we are ready to go Sandboarding on the main dune.
At 11am time for best part of this trip!!! Time to feel the Cerro Blanco adrenaline in our body and blood. Which way first? How long I will be Sandboarding? How I will take pictures? These are just some of the regular questions asked. Do you want to know more?? We can't describe exactly how it feels, you need to get your own sandy experience... Come on!!!
At 12pm one hour later, some people may still be on their way down after many amusing falls. We wait and then travel as a group back to Nasca.
At 1pm you can enjoy lovely swimming pool and the best restaurant in the city. This is the end of our service.
Around 2:30pm or 4:30pm will be the transfer to bus station and travel back to Lima by luxury public bus.
