2 Hours Of Dune Buggy And SandBoard Adventure Around The Oasis
La Huacachina is a beautiful oasis located 5KM southwest from Ica and about 6 minutes drive. Small attractive lagoon and famous for the medicinal properties of its waters. Super landscape surrounded by high sandbanks, palm tree groves and age old Huarango trees (Carob tree).
By the ends of the XIX century Huacachina was practically uninhabited, until the Italian Angela Perotti rediscovered the medical properties of water and sand of the lagoon, specially for the cure of skin and rheumatism illnesses. An ideal place for relax or for the desert adventures. Buggies and Sandboarding has become popular on the sand dunes (Huacachina) an ideal area to take to the steep sandy slopes of the desert.

2 HOURS OF SANDBOARDING IN LA HUACACHINA OASIS - ICA TOUR ITINERARY
At mentioned time the tour guide or someone from PERU ADVENTURE TOURS office will wait for you at the bus station or you will be pickup from your hotel in Ica or La Huacachina.
The tour includes transfer to La Huacachina by private transport and lead by driver/instructor.
In La Huacachina you will get some safety instructions before to start and then short walk to the parking place to find the buggy (4x4 trucks).
The tour begins driving over vast sand dunes around the Oasis La Huacachina, this challenge ride includes uphill and downhill ride, stops for photos and then the driver will drop-off you at the top of one dune to practice and enjoy Sandboarding (downhill) on the hottest and amazing desert landscape of Ica - The sandboarding can be practiced in different ways as standing, belly or seating style.
The tour over the dunes include many stops along the way, plenty time of practice Sandboarding and Dune Buggy.
PERU ADVENTURE TOURS recommend this adventure sport for beginners and experienced snowboarders or skiers - Our camp staff really recommend to bring drinking water, sunglass, sunhat and wear summer clothes to enjoy this adventure in middle of the desert of Ica.
After 2 hours of riding we return to the oasis La Huacachina and end of service.
For PRIVATE SERVICE is available the drop-off at the hotel and end of service.

GROUP SERVICE: This includes to join up to 10 participants (different nationality/age), less flexible for riding or practice sandboard.
PRIVATE SERVICE: This will be organized with personal driver and dune buggy and this is available anytime during all day - Complete flexible trip according customer request.

WEATHER IN LA HUACACHINA
The weather in oasis La Huacachina (Ica) is very hot during the day (35°C) and during the night is just fresh and nice (18°C). Some days between August and September can be windy and sandy as known as Paracas and is recommend to bring a good sunglasses to protect your eyes.
We also recommend bringing summer clothing, tennis shoes and short pants.
SANDBOAR RENTAL = $25 USD per day.
Sorry, we don't rent our dune buggies (4WD).
