Amazing Cycling On The Roof Of The Highest Navigable Lake In The World

Hardtail Mountain Biking is a relatively new sport in Peru, but new routes are rapidly being opened up, many of which offer excellent opportunities to ride along the coastal line, through the huges andean mountains or down into the cloust forest tot he amazon basin of Peru.

We have cycle trips from 1 up to more days designed to get the most out of your holiday. Beginning in the high Andes and descending into the Amazon jungle, we cycle from altitudes of 5000M to 600M. Biking on the single tracks, dirt roads, humid lands, frigid and warm climates, camping or sleeping in the local's family houses.
TOUR ITINERARY OF BIKING AROUND LAKE TITICACA
At 8AM pick-up from your hotel and land transportation for about 30 minutes to southwest of Puno (3827M) – There you will receive safety talking, instructions about our hardtail mountain bike, and information of the route and terrain to cycle on the shores of Lake Titicaca.
The route includes many small Andean villages, lot agriculture fields of Quinua, beans, potatoes and other crows cultivated by locals – We cycle through peninsula of Charcas giving you one the best and undiscovered views of the lake and secrets beaches know only by local people - Our route is relatively difficult and some easy section simultaneously, some parts includes uphills and short downhills between 3700M and 3900M as maximum altitude - During all trip we will have the supporting vehicle to store your personal things, bringing drinking water and snacks or for cusotmers feeling tired can jump to the car and fellow the trip until the other participants decide to stop of finish the trip.
In some part of the trip there is a nice bay to stop and enjoy a picnic as lunch with amazing surrounding views and feeling serenity of the waters of Titicaca lake – Cycling around the lake offer greatest panorama and be in contact with real life of people iliving in remote places.
During the bike trip you will see lot varieties of Andean birds navigating and nesting in the shores of the lake, very far away will be the Cordillera real (Bolivia Terretory), local fauna as Llamas, Alpacas and Vicuñas. This trip includes up to 70KM as maximum distance for cycling between 9AM to 4PM on gravel road mostly (XC style) - Of course for customers wanting to ride less distance is not problem.
Around 5PM all customers will be drop-off at their hotels in downtown of Punu and end of service.
