Day by Day Itinerary

DAY 1: HORSEBACK RIDING FROM CUSCO TO – HUAYLLABAMBA

Today at 8AM we will pick up from your hotel and driving to begin the horseback riding tour from Cusco to the sacred valley of the Incas, where is located the ranch and meet the horses and the horseman. Safety talking about how to ride the horses, check the saddles, instructions to ride the horses on the uphill and downhill.

We will ride about 4 hours beginning in the ranch at Maras town. We visit the salt ponds from the town and continue riding following a nice downhill path visit the Maras (2980M), from this point just downhill to the sacred valley of the Incas and continue riding along Urubamba River through lot of agriculture fields in Yanahuara village (2890M) to stop to have a picnic lunch.

Then we continue riding along the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We stop to Huayllabamba town. Tonight we will spend night a nice Andean local family (L - D). .

DAY 2: HORSEBACK RIDING FROM HUAYLLABAMBA TO CHINCHEROS

On this second will be more exciting to ride the horses by the amazing landscapes on the way.

We start in the lower part to Sacred valley and riding up on the Altiplano seeing the great view of the valley and the local farmers making the daily activities and the mountain range with lot of flora and fauna on the way.

Today will be the longest ride including 5 or 6 hours of ride, we stop to having picnic as lunch on the half way.

Following on the way and mostly adventure riding we will pass next of Chinchero (3720M) town to spending night with local Andean family. (B -L - D).

DAY 3: HORSEBACK RIDING FROM CHINCHEROS - MORAY - MARAS - MACHUPICCHU TOWN

After a breakfast we have visit a local home to see the antiquity weaver exhibition practice since XV century.

Riding up on the way to Huaypo lake (3508M), Moray agricultural laboratory (3470M), here will be nice introduction how the ancient civilization develops many agriculture tactics on the highlands.

Those villages are enter to the sacred valley of the Incas, it means we will see lot mountain range in the other side of the canyon of Urubamba, peaks over 5 thousand meters as Chicon (5530M), Pitusiray (5044M), Pumahuanja (5318M) and Veronica(5367).

After the last lunch. We driving to Ollantaytambo town and then transfer to trains station aboard the train to Machupicchu town, the bottom of Machu Picchu archeological park. If time permit OPTIONAL visit the thermal baths located next of town. Overnight in a comfortable hotel with private bathroom and hot shower (B - L).

DAY 4: AGUAS CALIENTES - MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO

After a breakfast and half hour later aboard the tourist bus to drop us to Machu Picchu park main door, and to visit inside Machu Picchu archaeological site you will have complete guided tour of this spectacular and mystical place. The guided tour includes walk through the different section such as urban, agriculture, and the religions zone was used by the Inca Culture. At mentioned time aboard a tourist bus to descend to town. OPTIONAL lunch will be in town and then we will aboard the tourist train to Ollantaytambo (Sacred Valley) and from here we take a private car to drop us to the hotel in Cusco (B).

This tour is organized for all edges of travelers, don't demands good physical condition because there not hard activities to do. This package is dedicated to families. TIP: You will receive a basic course in riding Paso horses in the safety of our corral (beginners).

We don't hire our horses, sorry :-(
