At 6AM you will be picking up from customer hotel and then 4hrs of private transfer through the mountains until the Colca valley where is located the trailhead for the Llamatrek.
Along the way we will stop several time to enjoy amazing panorama of the backside of volcan Misti and Chachani, the wetlands of national reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca to see large groups of Alpacas and Llamas grazing around.
Around 10AM we will arrive to the trailhead, meeting with the Llama breeders, then they will make a very important traditional Andean ceremony to the Apus and Pachamama (Ancient ceremony to the mountains and mother earth), to show us the trail and have safety trekking with Llamas to discover a bit of the andean life in the Colca canyon.
Our Llama trekking will be done on ancient Inca trail along the Colca valley for about 4 to 5hrs (16KM – 10miles), through high mountains awarded with impressive landscape and Colca River.
Today lunch will be offered by our camp staff on the half way of the trek.
EXTRA 5.60 MILES (9KM): For trek lovers there is available 2hrs more of trekking into the upper canyon until the hot spring, where we recomment to thermal pools (45°C).
Late afternoon 20min more of car transfer to small villages where is located a local family offering dinner and lodging (family homestay).
