LLAMA TREK AND TOUR IN THE COLCA CANYON

At 6AM you will be picking up from customer hotel and then 4hrs of private transfer through the mountains until the Colca valley where is located the trailhead for the Llamatrek.

Along the way we will stop several time to enjoy amazing panorama of the backside of volcan Misti and Chachani, the wetlands of national reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca to see large groups of Alpacas and Llamas grazing around.

Around 10AM we will arrive to the trailhead, meeting with the Llama breeders, then they will make a very important traditional Andean ceremony to the Apus and Pachamama (Ancient ceremony to the mountains and mother earth), to show us the trail and have safety trekking with Llamas to discover a bit of the andean life in the Colca canyon.

Our Llama trekking will be done on ancient Inca trail along the Colca valley for about 4 to 5hrs (16KM – 10miles), through high mountains awarded with impressive landscape and Colca River.

Today lunch will be offered by our camp staff on the half way of the trek.

EXTRA 5.60 MILES (9KM): For trek lovers there is available 2hrs more of trekking into the upper canyon until the hot spring, where we recomment to thermal pools (45°C).

Late afternoon 20min more of car transfer to small villages where is located a local family offering dinner and lodging (family homestay).

At 6AM will be breakfast in your hotel included as courtesy and then 2 hours of transfer in our transport to “Mirador Cruz Del Condor” - This journey includes nice drive on the left bank of Colca River passing small towns with colonial churches and spectacular highlights as snow-capped, hanging tombs, cactus forest, and lot flora and fauna along Colca valley – Also we stop in some lookout to see lot agriculture terracing on the both side of Colca valley – Around 8AM start a short and alternative trekking along the canyon (Private Service only) to arrive to the Condor cross viewpoint to watch the fly of the biggest bird in the world – Luckily you can see the Condors very close like 10 meters away from you or sometimes they are seating on huge rocks next of cliffs facing the deep of the canyon – Free time to enjoy spectacular view of the canyon and get some relax.

At 10AM we be a second option of 2hrs for hiking along the canyon to get different views, and more chance to see more Condor's flying around. Then we will drive to Chivay town with some stops along the way getting nice views of mountains and the valley, other colonial churches, small handicraft markets, and seeing local's people working the ancient's pre-Incan terraces.

Around 1PM arrive to Chivay to have lunch (Does Not Include) and then 30 minutes of free time for personal activities as visit the local market or walk around Chivay town

At 2PM will be meeting at central Plaza of Chivay (main square) and then 4hrs from Chivay to Arequipa – The journey includes stop at the highest point as known as "Mirador de los volcanes or Patapampa" (4910M/16,09 ft).

Around 6PM you will be drop-off at the door of your hotel in Arequipa and end of service.
