PERU
The greatest coast territory of Peru say WELCOME to 4th edition of the most challenge rally in the world - The first Dakar event in Peru was in 2012 and the last one in 2013, both events surprise to all competitors thanks to impressive desert land-scape – Peru is a greatest tourist destination in South America and the geography offer a vast desert along the coast line of the Pacific Ocean between Lima and Arequipa, where every pilot needs a good navigation on the tallest dunes in the world (Pisco, Ica, Nasca, Marcona) – After 5 days of pure challenge competition on the desert of Peru the rally go up 3820M where is the highest navigable lake in the world as known as “Lago Titicaca” located on the highland region of Puno home of ancient Tiahuanaco Culture – From Puno the rally is going to cross the border into Bolivia country.

BOLIVIA
The location of Bolivia is very strategic for rally Dakar 2018 because here will be the resting day for all competitors (January 12th, 2018) – The nice highlands plateau and spectacular snow-capes of Bolivia will be again amazing scenery and of course inevitable obstacles for the competitors because they will test their machines at high altitude with less oxygen and of course non everyone feels great with high sickness in La Paz, Uyuni and Tupiza – 3 days of competition over the 3800M of altitude in Bolivian territory will be decisive to know how many pilots abandon the rally and just the survivors of the hard conditions of Salar de Uyuni will continue to Argentina.

NEWS BEFORE YOU BOOK A PLACE FOR THE RALLY

DRIVE DISTANCE: The trip is only suitable for all adventure people – This expedition includes many hours of drive each day to reach the destiny for camping or stay in hotel located big cities or small towns - The Dakar event takes place in very remote landscape with difficult access routes and this can cause some delay or inconvenience to any of our 4x4 so we suggest lot of patience and remain calm until our camp staff solve the problem.

WEATHER CONDITIONS: From December to April is considered summer season along the Pacific coastal line (35°C) we recommend to be ready for high temperature and always bring soft drinks - The opposite situation is the rainy season in all the Andes of South America (-10 °C), the rain is very heavy and possibly the competition will be suspended or cuted thanks to high level of rivers or floods on the bolivian territory.

DESERT SHADOW: Our dakar team is going to make shadow in middle of the desert and next to the race to protect you from strong sun - The shadow will be every day and sure every participant is going to enjoy this.

PERU ADVENTURE TOURS recommend being in good physical - Popele having lung, heart or blood circulation problems should consult their doctor for the altitude.
