Capua waterfall - Arequipa trek, is new discovering trail by Peru Adventure Tours. This trek combines the countryside and volcanoes land of Arequipa, Capua waterfall is located on the north of Chachani Mountain. Capua waterfall is originated into lava canyon (100m high), huge lava walls form this nice canyon. This option consist hiking through the land of lava, valleys, volcanic rocky valley. Peru Adventure Tour invites you to discover one day new alternative around Arequipa City.Itinerary
At 7am pick up from the hotel and 1 hour transfer to trailhead, named Yura. Uphill hike through small mountains, crossing small canyons, and volcanic rocky valley. After 2 hours of trekking enter to the Capua valley, nice valley with terraces working by locals, from here we continue following the river to get the main lava door, will be in the beginning of the lava canyon. Enter to the canyon and continue hiking along the river to the deep point where is the waterfall, the fall is 100m of crystalline water. Picnic and then Come back to main lava door, from here fellow down the valley taking another trail into the Capua canyon. After 5 hours hike come back to Yura valley, if time permiting you can enjoy the hot spring, late afternoon transfer to Arequipa by private van. At 3pm arrive to the hotel.
