Remote Trails On The Volcano Valley 6 Days - 5 Nights
Colca canyon is the second deepest canyon in our planet, double deep Grand Canyon of United States. Is located in the middle of two highest volcanoes Coropuna (6450m) and Ampato (6380m), this canyon is most famous place to visit by the tourist from every where in the world, wonderful area to see the rich cultural remains, comes from 1400 years ago, immense varieties of flora and fauna, snowcapped ranges, green valleys, old and colony town, mighty rivers crossing the Andes, thousand of pre Inca terraces, friendly and charm settlers live in this part of Peru. Here is our field work arranging everything what we mentioned before, we are happy showing to the visitors every place and old costumes lazy by our old cultures in the colca canyon. We have traditional tours and new alternatives to explorer an extra mile in this great colca canyon.
Itinerary
Day 1: Toro Muerto - Viraco - Coropuna - Andagua - Volcanoes Valley
Breakfast will be early morning and then travel to the Andes by private van. Drive up through the Majes canyon, Tipan canyon, Viraco valley, Coropuna mountain (6450m) and finally descend to Andagua town (3200m), know like the Valley of the Volcanoes. Camping or stay in based local accommodation (B - L - D).Day 2: Andagua - Volcanoes Valley - Chachas Lagoon
After packing all our staff and breakfast began the real Andean trekking to Chachas valley. Hiking between small extinct volcanoes, crossing a nice country side on the left rim of the Andagua river. After 6 hours of trekking into this remote and rarely visit this volcano valley we cross Chachas lagoon and arrival to camp out site of Chachas valley (3000m) (B - L - D).Day 3: Chachas – Pampa Cerani
After breakfast trekking to the Miña Pampa (4200m) This we hike supporting by the mules and Arrieros (mules drivers) they will carry all our personal staff, camping gear and food. On the half way up stop for lunch and plenty of time for rest. Amazing views of the volcano valley (valle de los volcanes) witch 68 small craters, blue glass of Chachas lagoon and the large green valley surrounding by huge mountains. Camping in Miña Pampa (B - L - D).Day 4: Pampa Cerani – Paso Cerani - Miña Canyon
Today we climb the highest pass on this trek, named paso Cerani (5100m), also is the most impressive and panoramic point, from here are magnificent views of the mountain in Andagua region and also we can appreciate the highest snow-capped on the both side of the Colca canyon. Cerani pass, is enter to Colca canyon or Colca valley. Short time for relax and after descend to Miña canyon. Nice trekking large land covering by Ichu grass, typical grass from the high Andes use for food of animals. After 7 - 8 hours arrival to Miña valley, located on the bottom of the same canyon and protected by mountains with difficult access. Set up the tents at backyard of the school (B - L - D).Day 5: Miña Canyon – Chocco – Puente Colgado
This day is 8 hours of trekking along the Miña River, into this nice canyon, passing big cliffs of iron and cooper walls on the both side. On the way down is possible to see many wildlife animals, such as Andean eagle, Condor, Falcons, Deer, Vizcachas, many type of small birds. Chocco is nice and very welcoming inter Andean village (2570m) and produce fruits, including the Tuna (cactus fruit). Stop for lunch at this remote and friendly valley, after lunch hike down to the deepest point of the Colca canyon to discover the biggest walls of the second deepest canyon in the world. Spectacular completely view of the canyon and Colca River, inaccessible arid area contrasting with different colours. Also we can see the magnificent Condor flying over the top of the mountains. After 4 hours trekking on the left slope of the canyon arrival to Puente Colgado, where we will set up the tents for camping next Colca River considerate the deepest point of this canyon (B - L - D).Day 6: Puente Colgado – Cabanaconde – Cruz Del Condor – Chivay – Arequipa
At 5am transfer by private van on serpentine dirt road up to Cabanaconde (3280m), camp breakfast at this lovely town surrounded by legendary terraces and protected by huge mountains like Ampato, Walca Walca.At 8:30am transfer to the Condor Cross view point from you can seeing the magnificent flight of the Condors, considerate the biggest flying birth in the world. Plenty time to enjoy this place and then will continue travel by van to the most important and marvelous villages and valley accompanied witch the most conservative churches build on the conquest time. Stop at Chivay (3600m) where will be the last delicious buffet lunch. If the time permitting visit the hot spring of LA CALERA and then 4 hours transfer to the hotel in Arequipa (B - L).

PS: If you want to begin from Cabanaconde to Andagua price will be same. We recommend start in Andagua because is 35% less hard and will be better for your acclimatization.
