TECHNICAL INFORMATION

DEPARTURES: Every day at 8AM or 1PM from downtown office.
SEASON: All year around.
DISTANCE & TIMING: 8KM (5miles) - 3hrs of hiking as maximum time.
TOUR LENGTH: About 5 hours.
TREK HIGHLIGHTS: Mountain and volcanic landscape, local farming on Inca terracing, and colonial buildings.
DIFFICULTY: Easy to medium level - Suitable for everyone.
ALTITUDE: Between 2490M and 2600M (8169,29ft and 8530,18ft).

HIKE ITINERARY THROUGH AREQUIPA'S COUNTRYSIDE

Arequipa trekking Tour can begin at 8AM or 1PM from our office in downtown (Calle Melgar 308) – 40 minutes of transfer to the trailhead and begin the nice hike on the countrisyde of Characato district - The trail is mostly gradual with some small uphill section following well preserved trail through farming fields and seeing nice green valley on the upper zone of Characato, small rivers and local farmers practicing their daily activities – The trek takes around 3 hours hike to cover around 8KM through a nice countryside atmosphere.
After around 5 hours return to your hotel in Arequipa or you can extend the trip to have typical lunch in one of the local restaurant to taste the Arequipeña cuisine recognize as one the best in Peru.
